Pastor Jim Hayes of St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro stated “I believe in miracles” at a prayer service for Matt Hughes of Hillsboro, who was critically injured in truck/train accident June 16 near Raymond.
Patton also gave an update on Hughes’ condition. He stated Matt’s eyes were fully open and he was able to make a sweeping motion with his hand. He could push his foot in response to questions, and was able to acknowledge others present in the room by moving his eyes. He is off the ventilator.
“There is a lot of improvement.” Patton stated, “but Matt still has a long road to go.”
We here at Aces Jiu Jitsu Club wish the former UFC Champion, Matt Hughes a speedy recovery.
