UFC President Dana White has always said that if a fighter is considering retirement, they should probably do it. This goes for arguably the greatest fighter to ever step in the octagon, Anderson Silva.
“Every time, for the last however many years, dealing with Anderson, it’s always interesting,” White told TMZ. “You know, obviously he wants an interim title; obviously we’re not going to do an interim title. He’s definitely coming out publicly, and you know my philosophy on that: if you ever say the ‘R’ word, you should probably do it anyway. If you’re considering retirement, you should probably do it.”
