Miesha Tate is a women’s MMA legend and former UFC and Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion. Now, she can add another few titles to her resume … Vice President and color commentator of ONE Championship.
ONE Championship is a Singapore-based MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and grappling promotion which was launched on July 14, 2011 by entrepreneur Chatri Sityodtong and former ESPN Star Sports senior executive Victor Cui. ONE Championship broadcasts MMA events to over one billion homes in 138 countries.
The announcement was made over social media and Tate is excited to get started.
“It’ll be a perfect fit,” Tate said. “It’s gonna be an awesome adventure.”
“We haven’t hashed out the details,” Tate told BJPENN.COM of her new gig at ONE Championship. “We landed at 1:00, and it’s been kind of go, go, go, besides a short nap due to jet lag. I think this weekend we’ll sit down and talk about exactly what it is [I’ll be doing]. I do know that I’ll be commentating and I know that I also know that I’ll be working as a coach at Evolve [MMA]. Beyond that, we still have a little working out to do of the details.”
